There are numerous opportunities to study on an MSc research program.  The MSc research degree is approximately a year in length and allows you to work on a cutting edge research project within my group at UCLan.  Students who are interested in an MSc degree (by research) should email Rob directly for current research projects.  Many students who go down this route are self-funded students.

Funded positions will be advertised on jobs.ac.uk. Speculative enquiries from outstanding individuals are always welcomed. Assistance and mentoring with fellowship applications will be provided to suitably qualified candidates. Bear in mind that these schemes have long lead times (typically 6-12 months), often only have one deadline per year and are highly competitive. Recommended schemes include: Marie Skłodowska-Curie fellowships (EU), Early Career Fellowships (Leverhulme Trust),* Royal Society Newton International Fellowships, Royal Commission for the Exhibition 1851, Daphne Jackson Fellowships (if returning from career break).
